Kinja'd!!!

Is there anything about !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! which makes it something other than complete junk, fit only for the scrapyard?

Why would anyone have paid £700 for it?

The masochist, to the sadist: " Plese, oh please! ...hurt me! "

The sadist, to the masochist: " Noooooooooooo.... "

You know only some of them were RWD? There were also FWD ones, and from what Wiki says all the 1.3s were FWD.

Yeah, I don't think it's one of the RWD ones.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Co…

European market chassis:

AE80/EE80 — FWD 4-door sedan, 5-door liftback, 3/5-door hatchback (2A, 2E engines)

AE82 — FWD 4-door sedan, 5-door liftback, 3/5-door hatchback (4A engine)

AE86 — RWD 2-door coupé, 3-door hatchback coupé (4A engine)

CE80 — FWD 1.8 diesel 4-door sedan, 5-door liftback, 5-door hatchback (1C engine)

But it's really confusing, because that might be the previous generation platform under the estate, because that apparently carried on until the generation after - and if so, then it's RWD.

Oh yes, according to this it must be RWD, which explains the price, just about.

From August 1983 (subsequent to the changeover to front-wheel drive for the rest of the range) the Corolla Van received a new 1.5 litre 5K-J engine as well as a light restyling, and also a roof raised by 45 mm (1.8 in). [4] The Wagon/Van underwent a final light facelift in August 1985, including an upgraded 1C-II engine for the diesels. [5] It also received seats that could be folded nearly flat to make the car bedable, and continued in production until being replaced by the 90-series Corolla Van/Wagon in August 1987.
